LITTLE ROCK, AR – Today, the DCCC announced that they added Chris Jones to its Red to Blue program, signalling their confidence that Jones can build a winning campaign in Arkansas’s 2nd District.

“Every week I meet people who work hard and still run out of money before the end of the month. Parents are picking up extra shifts. Seniors are putting off trips to the doctor and rationing medicines. Farmers have told me they aren’t sure they can make it to next season. People here can no longer afford the basics. When they look to Washington, they see a Congressman who has spent his time helping big banks and billionaires, not everyday people,” Jones said.

“This seat belongs to the people of Arkansas. The person who holds it should work for the people who elected them. I’m running to represent the most food-insecure state in the country, and I’ll spend my time in Washington working so Arkansans can afford groceries and keep a roof over their heads, not fighting so the wealthy can keep getting richer. It’s time that this district had someone fighting for them.”

“I’m grateful the DCCC is listening to what people in Arkansas are saying. My main goal in Congress is to fight so that Arkansan voices are heard no matter what party has the majority or who is in the White House,” said Jones.

Jones’s opponent, French Hill, chairs the House Financial Services Committee and led the effort to kill a rule that would have capped most big-bank overdraft fees at $5. He also voted for the 2025 budget law, which cuts nearly $1 trillion from Medicaid and $187 billion from SNAP over the next ten years.

“French Hill has met his match in Chris Jones. Chris has built a campaign with undeniable momentum that is tapping into what folks in Arkansas want to see from their leaders: someone dedicated to lowering costs, fighting for good jobs, and who will put workers over billionaire donors. While French Hill is cutting health care and voting for cost-raising tariffs crushing Arkansas businesses, Chris is running to make sure Arkansas has real leadership that works for them,” said DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene.

Today is the last day to register to vote in Arkansas if you plan to vote in this election. You can check your registration and important voting dates on our voter hub: https://chrisjonesforcongress.com/voter-hub/. Day one voting begins Monday, October 19th.
