Chris Jones is a 7th generation Arkansan who brings a scientist’s curiosity and a deep Christian faith to solving problems and serving the working people he cares about.
He will fight to improve the economic outlook for 2nd District residents by supporting laws that make household expenses –including the house itself– more affordable for working families and young people.
Chris is a native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He studied physics and math at Morehouse College. After his undergraduate education, he attended MIT and worked at NASA. Once he earned his master’s degrees from MIT, he taught high school math and then returned to MIT as Assistant Dean for Graduate Education. He led in AI and tech entrepreneurship, directed the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub that helped Arkansans launch and grow businesses, and acquired skilled trades such as roofing, welding, HVAC, and carpentry.
Voters in Cleburne, Conway, Faulkner, Perry, Pulaski, Saline, Van Buren, and White County are looking for a Congressman who understands the demands of the modern economy. Chris Jones, a husband and father of three girls, shares voters’ daily challenges.
As an MIT trained rocket scientist, Chris is focused on opportunities for Arkansans in the fields of tomorrow, as well as protecting jobs exposed to technological change.
As the husband of an Air Force combat veteran, Chris is deeply protective of our service members’ safety. He opposes the recklessness of Trump’s war in Iran and French Hill’s abandonment of his responsibility to our military. Congressman Hill has remained silent in the face of the President’s actions in the Middle East. Chris is also very supportive of our military veterans and will be a strong advocate for them.
As a parent of young girls, Chris Jones is horrified by the revelations in the Epstein files, and even more by French Hill’s failure to pursue justice for the victims. Chris supports reopening prosecutions based on the evidence in the files.

French Hill is the most powerful banker in America. His 11 years in Congress has been marked by two things: silence and inaction.
French Hill was a wealthy mortgage banker before running for Congress- and his major achievements have been in protecting the banking industry from laws that would protect customers.
He is best known for sponsoring and introducing H.J.Res. 59 on February 13th, 2025, the resolution that overturned the CFPB’s rule on “Overdraft Lending: Very Large Financial Institutions,” which would have limited overdraft fees to $5.
French’s focus on banking makes him unfit to comprehend the needs of working people. He reliably folds to party bosses and banking industry lobbyists.
In a time of great financial uncertainty, French Hill has not used his chairmanship of the House Financial Services Committee to protect voters. Instead, mortgage rates have risen, inflation has risen, and financial fraud is rampant.
French Hill answers to donors and political masters, not Arkansas voters. While Americans grow poorer and more uncertain, Hill has grown wealthy in Congress, with his net worth more than doubling. According to the House Clerk Disclosure, it went from approximately $7.7 million in 2015 to $19.4 million in 2026. French Hill’s lifestyle looks nothing like the majority of constituents he represents.
A former mortgage banker, French Hill supports a 50-year mortgage, a predatory financial tool that would bind generations to banks and raise housing prices.
