Chris Jones is a 7th generation Arkansan whose science and Christian faith background make him a problem solver who cares deeply about the needs of working people.
He will fight to improve the economic outlook for 2nd District residents by supporting laws that make household expenses – including the house itself – more affordable for working families and young people.
Chris is a native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was educated at Morehouse College where he studied physics and math. Following his undergraduate education, he attended MIT and worked at NASA. After graduating with his master’s degrees from MIT, he was a high school math teacher and then came back to MIT as Assistant Dean for Graduate Education. He has been a leader in AI and tech entrepreneurism, and directed the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub which helped Arkansans develop tech businesses while also helping them learn skilled trades like roofing, welding, HVAC and carpentry.
Democrats and Independents in Pulaski, Faulkner, and Saline Counties are looking for a Congressman who understands the demands of the modern economy. A husband and father of three girls – like Chris Jones – leads a life that looks a lot like that of the median voter.

As the husband of an Air Force combat veteran, Chris is deeply protective of our service members’ safety. He opposes the recklessness of Trump’s war in Iran as well as French Hill’s abandonment of his responsibility to our military. Congressman Hill has remained silent in the face of the President’s actions in the Middle East.
As a parent of young girls, Chris Jones is horrified by the revelations in the Epstein files – and even more horrified by the fact that French Hill has done nothing to pursue justice for the victims. Chris supports reopening the prosecution of crimes depicted in evidence revealed in the files.

French Hill is the most powerful banker in America. His 11 years in Congress has been marked by two things: silence and inaction.
French Hill was a wealthy mortgage banker before running for Congress- and his major achievements have been in protecting the banking industry from laws that would protect customers.
He is best known for killing the bill that would have limited overdraft fees to 5 dollars.
French’s focus on banking makes him unfit to comprehend the needs of working people. He reliably folds to party bosses and banking industry lobbyists.
In a time of great financial uncertainty, French Hill has not used his chairmanship of the House Financial Services Committee to protect voters. Instead, mortgage rates have risen, inflation has risen, and financial fraud is rampant.
French is more attentive to his donors and political masters than he is to Arkansas voters. As Americans grow poorer and more uncertain about their future, French Hill has grown wealthy in Congress. His stock portfolio has doubled in value. His life does not resemble his suburban or metropolitan constituents, much less the hard working rural people of the rural counties that reliably vote Republican.
A former mortgage banker, French Hill supports a fifty year mortgage, a highly predatory financial tool that will place generations in financial bondage to banks and raise housing prices.
